We have 3 flatpack pieces of furniture total weight approx 64 kilos and 3 waste paper baskets to move from Ascot to Finestret 40ks inland from Perpignan. Is anyone going that way with room to spare?  Easy access in France. Not in any immediate hurry - hoping to achieve by April.   

Does anyone have the direct line  phone number for Brian the English speaking staff member at Leroy Merlin Perpignan please? It was advertised in the August issue of Le sixty six, which is no longer avalable on line. I think it was a half/full page ad probably at back of mag. Many thanks. 

Langudoc is a massive region hundreds of square kilometers; it would be best to narrow it down first to a department of which there are 5 in the langudoc! You have a choice of mountains, sea, canal etc.  Once narrowed down it will make it easier to meet people in the local vicinity.  Hope this helps! 

We have neighbours who used Maison Delfi.  If I was building again I would definitely use them. They employ their own builders and do absolutely everything.  If you haven't built before  make sure you find a company who can offer a kitchen and decorating unless you wish to do it yourself.  If you ask for built in wardrobes 'placards' be aware they are just recesses, nothing fitted in to them.  Make sure you have the largest size of sewage pipes fitted - there is a choice but you may not be told that!   Be aware that if the land slopes or is on rock you are likely to be asked for more money at the foundation stage because they don't survey the land in advance. We were caught out big time here.  Best of luck!
