3.
He`s fine marton, thanks for asking. He has settled in well and likes to sit next to the fire, but he refuses to remove that stupid hat of his, even indoors. Maybe he`s feeling the cold cos it`s freezing here     [:D]
Oh hello!    That was quick!        See!  A case of telepathy of the GG's again!!       Well your Gnigel is'nt silly, in front of the fire is the best place!     Bwian rang, he said "Fweezin on bike, can't wait to get to Bwittany"   (at least he's made his mind up where he's heading to).    Glad he did'nt decide on Bwuge.
 4. Was wondering if Geordie Girl still has Gnigel or whether he's gone walkies again?  Anyone heard?

 11. Well I'm sorry to say that I have not had much inspiration from suggestion so far, I'll give it another few hours and then probable end up calling my self 'Chipie 2' Well I bet that took some thinking about.      ShropDor is the best then you can be a ShropDor in France or England and when you hold the door of a shop open (being very courteous) people will say "thankyou ShropDor"
 12. ........or............. JacinShropDorChipie
 13. .............or..............DordogneChipie (maybe there is one already???) (but it could be spelt Chippie, so you will get away with it.

 17.
Castrol R for me.
Is it really sooooo difficult to choose a name?       Took me all of 7 seconds to do mine.
 18.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7167475.stm You really do have to wonder what would happen with a real fall.
Yep, but they must forewarn you that it could take you 3 hours to do a 2 mile journey.[:-))]
 19. Always used free download from www.avisoft.co.uk and passed it on to many friends who use it successfully.     I'm a touch-typist and use a Qwerty board because of that, but their version works every single time when I want to type in French.  You don't click and drag, you just put your mouse to the character you require and click, it then enters into your script.
 20.
I know that not everyone is grumpy and unkind......but arriving in a cold enviroment is not enchanting!I knwo exactly that 24 is very close....infact I was there today...Issegac and Monbazilliac.I know the area reasonably well and hope to find some nice/pleasant people to chat to via this website. My London chefing background has offended...and my outgoing networking....but I do sense a little sour grapes...and the vines outside my window are bare! Have a lovely new year everyone.
Talking about vines and St. Emilion, when we were there we saw the most expensive bottle we've ever seen before.....8700€ !    We bought half a dozen.....er, not!
 21. There's more changes....... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7156661.stm Nothing quite beat the aroma of chocolate in York when you passed the factory, sadly gone now.
 22. Jon - I'd just like to say good luck to you.     Sometimes because you don't hear the tone of the words stated they can be misunderstood.   However, my belief after reading the whole thread is that some were harsh and very keen to have a pop at you.     You may be pleased to read we are not all like that.    We have visited St.Emilion and St. Foy le Grande and both are very pretty.   By the way (but you probably know anyway) Dept 24 is not that far from you.  Again good luck.
 23.
Sorry to disagree with everyone but I actually have thoroughly enjoyed the TV this week despite being laid up with flu since Monday and watching far too much of it. I can honestly say that I havn't seen one repeat, or to be accurate, not one programme has been shown on any of the channels that I have already seen before. Because I watch French TV and no longer Sky. One of the many things that I am glad to have left behind me, although one of the last to go. Seriously if things are really getting that boring and repetitive why not tune in to French channels for at least a few hours a week? One of my favorites this week has been "Johhny Saucisson" (every evening on Canal* unencrypted) which was a lighthearted look at French culture through the eyes of English and American immigrants, very funny especially the accents!
We do and found French telly 100 times worse than English !    Still we can't all  like the same things, otherwise the world would be boring.
