  1. Thanks for your replies What you have said it what I was kind of thinking (that its a booster so no need to wait 6 months etc). I have also managed to contact Defra on this (after a few hours trying) and they confirmed what you said and ensured me that their would be no problem getting our dog through the port (ferry terminal) and back to the UK. The relatives will be happy... they have a stash of Bonios ready and waiting for them already :-) Thanks again
  2. Hi I have read the past posts about passports etc but seem to only be able to find information on passport questions relating to moving from Uk to France. So I appologise if I am repeating something again :-) Our dogs got their annual boosters this week and also their rabies jabs to keep their passports going in France. We had hoped to take our dogs back to the UK for a holiday in the near future but the vet said we had to now wait for another 6 months before the dogs could leave France. The vet also metioned that we would need new blood tests again (similar to when the dogs first got their passports). So, my question is: Is this correct? Do we need more blood tests and do we have to wait another 6 months before our dogs can go and skip along the beaches back in the UK? Hope someone can help as I know that all our family are more bothered about seeing the dogs again than seeing us :-)    Thanks
  3. Hi Quillan I agree with the points you are making in your last message. Yet, I never stated I have always been happy with everything in my working life... but I would not send an email/listing to my potential customers stating what I dislike... :-) As with any business, it takes time and effort to make it work. I agree. I dont see why having a pop at me though will make you feel any better. Im simply trying to add my opinion to this topic and feel that in a great deal fewer words than you, I can make my point. I hope that the majority of the readers out there took my opinion as just that. Nothing more. Reg ps. On a lighter note. If you ever want to hear about some of the ... people... I've worked for, Im more that willing to get it off my chest :-)
  4. I have read this topic from the start and I am finding it hard to see why it was first posted to start with... am I alone? I dont like swimming - so Im not a lifeguard. I dont like heights - so Im not a window cleaner I dont like picking up dog crap - so Im not a road sweeper. So.. if you dont like the jobs you have to do to keep your guests happy... why do you do it? Do something else. I love staying at B&Bs in the UK and the rest of Europe. Its a fantastic way to see behind the scenes of the corporate tourist trade. Let me know your website if you still think guests are a pain in the backside and I'll make sure I avoid you next year. 5. Hi, Just found this site and it is all new to me so I am sorry if I have posted in the wrong place. My wife and I recently registered a business as we have just made the move permenantly over to France. We registered throgh the CCI and havehad our siret numbers etc through the post. We were advised at the CCi that we would now have to start paying social charges which we are more than happy to do. We received a letter yesterday from RSI advising us that they were not yet able to process our details etc until we could supply them with our Social Security Number. As far as we know, we do not have one of these yet as we have not worked in France or been registered in the system until we have just registered this business, we believed that the Social Security number/Carte Vitalle etc would all come through to us now we had registered the business. Is there anyone we should have registered with in france to get this? Or is it as we thought and it is just a case of waiting for the document to come through and that the form from RSI has come through quicker than some other docs? We did ask the Marie if there was any sort of forms etc we needed to complete but he also said it should all happen automatically. Any advice would be appreciated.   Many Thanks Reg

    Peacocks

Hello, Bit of a strange one I know, and not sure if shopping is the right place to put this under, but I am looking for a Peacock breeder or somewhere I can purchase Peacocks for our small holding. We had a couple a long time agowhen we lived in the UK and would love to have some again. If anyone knows where we could purchase these, it would be greatly appreciated. We live in the Limousin but would be willing to travel. Many Thanks & Fingers Crossed Reg
