We had a pool installed 18 months ago and the guy who looks after our place told us to use Bromme (will have a look at the tub later and see if it says anything in English - doubt it).  He reckons it is better than Chlorine for the skin etc.  Quite expensive though but in saying that, I never had the opportunity to have an outdoor pool in Glasgow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (apart from the endless puddles). I must admit that with the Bromme you don't smell all strange like coming out of the swimming baths at home with the Chlorine!! I had the exact same problem and was eventually solved by an independant technician.  The problem was that our telephone and our fax machine interferred with the ADSL and by simply obtaining another filter it was solved. Try unplugging all telephones or faxes and only connecting the freebox and I'm sure you'll find it works.  If it does, you will need to buy additional filters for each telephone extension and your probs will be solved.
