Hi. My partner has recently taken VR from her UK based company. The amount is way below the 30k (UK tax free allowance for this payment), but we are unsure how this will be taxed in France where we are both resident. Our local tax office did not really understand the concept of VR, and told us that it should be taxed as normal income which doesn't quite seem fair. Does anyone have any experience with this? I happened to ask AGF today, if I would be insured if a tree on my land fell on my house during a storm. I was quite shocked to learn that unless the storm was declared severe by government, property would only be covered if trees were below regulation height. Does anyone know where to find details of these regulations. Have searched a few hours and still can't find any details. It just seems a shame to top a beautiful healthy tree, but then again we get some huge storms in the area. En revanche, L'ARCEP souhaite maîtriser les appels sortants vers ces destinations. Nous restons à votre disposition pour toute information complémentaire. Nous vous prions de recevoir, Monsieur, nos sincères salutations. So. They say it's not their fault, but the fault of ARCEP, who are they???? Also. It's not that I get cut off if a call is more than an hour( I understand that ), It's after 60-90 mins cumulative, I can no longer make any international calls at all. Thanks

Well I don't gamble or abuse the phone. Never have. The only difference in the last few months, is that my wife is pregnant, so is using the phone more, but only to the same numbers as before. Any idea how I can contest this mis justice? thanks

Within the last month, I have noticed that if I make more than say 90 mins of calls to the UK(per day), my line becomes blocked for further international calls, until midnight. I sent an email to free, to ask whats happening. There response was this: Monsieur, Nous prenons connaissance de votre eMail. Vous nous contactez dans le cadre de la limitation de la durée des appels émis vers l'international depuis la ligne téléphonique Free. Nous vous informons que cette limitation n'est pas de notre fait, cela fait partie des usages de la téléphonie dit "en bon père de famille", soit un usage raisonnable, modéré, ni professionnel ni abusif des ressources qui sont mises à votre disposition. En effet, conformément aux modalités définies par l\'ARCEP, l\'utilisation du Service téléphonique dépourvue d\'un caractère raisonnable est considérée comme étant abusive. A savoir, l\'utilisation ininterrompue du Service de Téléphonique par le biais d\'une composition automatique et en continu de numéros sur la ligne Freebox. Am I the only one who thinks the amount of information required by the french tax offices, when declaring accounts is inviting fraud. Given the amount of personal data already available to them, I really don't want to give them all my bank details too.

See this is now live on channel 126. but only get " No Or Bad Signal" message on my humax box. All other HD channels are working fine. Anyone else got problems?

Thanks everyone. The walls are breeze block, I think. ( they are in the loft ), plastered on inside, Insulated with something, possibly paper, ( not good, but 45cm thick) 1971 construction, wooden boards exterior. Climate is pretty dry here 1000m altitude. Other people have appeared to have done similar work in the area, so feel confident. It's just that when you research deeper on the net, you start to question your techniques.

I have decided to create an alpine feel to Our apartment, and would like to clad the exterior(internal) walls with brushed pine boards. My question is: would it be non advisable to fill the 4cm thick stud wall void, with 4cm rockwool slabs? The rooms are pretty cold and poorly insulated, but I don't want to lose internal space, using thicker insulation, and the foil needs a substantial air gap. Thanks for advise.

Definitely in zone Degroupee, I can receive TV through the box, but don't bother, as TV is not near near phone line. Checked my account yesterday, and it seems free are now offering a V5 box exchange ( sans frais). So I assume If If I go totally degrouped first and then change the box, there shouldn't be a cost. I think the V5 box allows you wireless TV function, which is all I want, so not too worried about Revolution Box. Thanks for tariffs info. It appears I will have to pay 1.99 more for TV.
