Yeah, I do see what you mean but we have stayed in many CHD's and never has a host sat with us for breakfast, just sort of hovered with the coffee pot which I really hate, thought it might be nice for them to relax and enjoye breakfast at their own pace,

Hi All, We are just starting our new chd in our new house and we thought we might do the breakfast differently this time, 2 bedrooms share their own kitchen/dining/ living room so I thought I would stock the kitchen with all the nessessarys and leave them to it, what do you think?

Hi Anthene, We are hopeing to put in geothermic but it may not be possible as the land is very slopey, failing that we will have a wood/pellet burning boiler with underfloor heating.

Thanks for your kind words, yes, our prices are low but as you say, PROFIT!!!!! we are always full during end of march to begining of November and thats just how I like it! its actualy quite easy, we have different guests every day so I just cook the same thing every day pretty much, they arrive around 5pm , shower, eat, bed by 9pm (they are knackerd after a full days walking) brekky at 7am, gone by 8am, so we have the days to ourselves, bliss! we also make sure we have 2 nights a week off. As for why we are selling, we have bought some land 50k south of here and are going to build an eco house in wood and do the whole B&B thing again, its a great life!!

No, it wasn't a B&B when we bought it, the agents are fully aware that we are a business but they insist that it would be better to sell it as a family home, maybe we should be be advised by them and advertise elswhere as a B&B but I dont know where to start www.chemindecompostelle.com/maisonlacabanne
