  1. Well only three weeks and we will be on our way getting really excited about it now.

We have found a fantastic cycle route which goes along way in our direction -La Velo Francette - and looking forward it

We are planning to cover about 60 miles a day and plan to get to the Vendee in four to five days.

We are looking for Bed and Breakfast as near to ESTRY as possible for our first overnight stop so any recommendations welcome. ESTRY between Vire and Conde -sur Noireau Thank you
  2. Theiere - Not got little care anymore had to get bigger car to commute to work. But I'm sure if you are near I'm sure you could help push me up a hill :-)

Vivienz - thank you for your advice adding to my list of considerations.

Pierre ZFP - if you are offering to be a Domestique hop on board the more the merrier.

Derek.J The website loos very useful thank you :-)
  3. My Husband and I have always wanted to ride from St Malo to our house in the Vendee on our Bikes. This year we might finally be able to do it. I was wondering if anyone could:

    1. Recommend any good cycling route guides, maps etc (printed if possible)

    2. Suggest any good B&B places to stop over

    3. Offer any Good Advice.

    Thanks in advance.
  4. Idun we have just started using our stovax log burner which also runs all of our radiators, we found that the glass needs cleaning once a week and that when cleaning the ash we only take one scoop out at a time leaving a good base of ash as it seems to need this in order to work to its full potential.  It is working really well and heats the whole house.

  5. Just wondered if anyone has heard of this?

It was given to me on my last visit by my neighbours,  but I honestly can't understand why its called english pudding!

it consists of melted Carambar and rice crispies with marshmallows!

    any Ideas

Oh and it tasted really Lush but a little goes and long way.:-)

  6. Hi all

My husband and I watched the film last week ans we thought it was really good and very funny although I did shed a tear at the end as it was very moving. The acting was brilliant by all and would highly reccomend it to anyone.  We always say take a film for its own merit and we find we usually find them much more enjoyable.

We also saw true grit and I personally didnt think it was a patch on the original i though the actors were good but that they were not such a force as in the original.(My opinion  and i am a John wayne buff :-) someone has to lol)
