We have just moved to the Deux Sevres region and thought i'd mention the removal firm. They were called RoadRunners and are based in Rochdale, they had our gear in storage for a week and it cost 1600 in total, cheapest we got elsewhere was nearer 4000 and nothing broken, couple of scratches here and there but a bargain and they only needed a days notice (probably not busy), the lads phoned us to say they were there and we was still 3 hours away. We have just moved into our house and it has oil/wood heating, thing is we dont know how to get it working, the previous owner went through it but done what he showed us and nothing, how do you go from oil to wood and wood to oil, there are two units one obviously for wood burning and one for oil, does the oil need to be manually lit? amy info appreciated.

an update somebody phoned me today from barclays france and they do charge for debit cards (why the other bloke said different!!!) its 43 euros a year and whilst there is 3000 in the account there are no charges, no charges for any usual stuff like cheques probably go for la poste

phoned Barclays france today and they tell me no charges for cheques, standing orders, debit cards etc said no much different from my uk barclays account so there you go, unless someone on here with a barclays account can tell us different.
