Does anyone have any tips for the car buying process in France. We plan to buy a new car and pay with a French cheque. The money is in our account so that's one problem solved! Will we have to wait some time for delivery? How can we find out what the correct price for the car should be? Is there any point in shopping around or will all prices be the same for that car? Do we need a French address and proof of residency to register the car? Is it worth shopping around for insurance as in England or are they all much the same? Suddenly it seems as if there's an awful lot I don't know! CK

We're taking a long term let and will have a phone line. How do I arrange internet access and what lead will I need for my English lap top? help please . I'm fairly cluless about such things but know I will miss the internet if I can't set it up Catherine

Our permanent move to France is not far off and while we will be using a removal firm for most of our belongings we have some house plants with sentimental value which we plan to transport ourselves in our car. Can anyone tell me please, will we have any problems at customs at Dover or Calais?
