Forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong place. We are slowly picking up some renters for our house in France, although just know it is mostly family, friends or colleagues. As part payment they agree to tend to the garden but due to the sporadic visits the grass can get to the ridiculous size and they spend ages getting it down to a decent size. It also isn't good for the grass. The house is just outside La Haye du Puits, Manche and if any is available to help (obviously payment would be agreed) then I would be delighted to hear from you. Otherwise does anyone have the name of a local oddjob man/company that they could reccomend. Regards Alichri

When we moved into our house the previous owners left their Satalite Dish and decoder. We bought a TV in France and hooked them up and now receive the usual 5 French channels. Is it possible to simply realign the dish and receive channels through sky? If not I can get a Sky box no problem - would I be able to connect this to the existing dish and TV, realign the dish and get the British Channels? Any help/thoughts would be appreciated[:D]

I am a complete DIY novice and have just bough a new house in Normandy. I have learned that most gas cookers in rural areas use bottled gas and when I go over next week I plan to buy a new one. Does anybody know if when I buy the new cooker will it come with a 'regualtor' to fit to the bottle or does this come seperately? If it does come seperately will I be able to fit it to the cooker myself or do you need a qualified engineer? Last question - is it better to use propane or butane, the bottle will be stored in the kitchen.   Thanks Alichri
