Thanks Sid,I'm being lazy thinking of using Self leveling CompoundThat product you suggest looks OKI'll lay a mortar screed, its a bit more work but it will stop me worrying if its going to lift with extremes of hot/cold
-
Obviously the safest way to deal with the problem and not risk damaging the engine is not to start the vehicle at the forecourt and have the vehicle transported into a workshop to have the tank drained and rinsed out but if the car's been started any potential damage to the seals and or injectors could have already happened anyway.Given in this case that it was a small amount of petrol diluted in a tank full of diesel IMO it's worth taking the chance for running it out of the system by keep topping up the tank diluting it even further. Injector require the lubricating properties of diesel so will fail if the mix was too strong.I'm sure we will have an update on this one from the OP

Can Self Leveling Compound be used outside?I'm making a tiled patio and it would be easier to put SLC down on the new concrete base before fixing the tilesObviously I'm using tiles, adhesive and grout thats suitable for outside but will the Self Leveling Compound take minus 15 and plus 28 over the yearsThanks
-
I agree with Chancer, if it knocks a bit keep topping up with diesel until its well and truely diluted awayThe other way round and it would have been very costly !Last person I know who filled up at the services on the way to the UK ended up paying out hundreds to get back on the roadThey got as far as the slip-road off the service area but had to be recovered etc

I'd used last years threshold of 878 Euro so I'll change it to 960. Isn't the Decote applied to your tax figure after you had applied the DTT allowanceI know there's been some debate about this in the past John
-
Sorry about this!I'll try changing the settings. As I said I'm new to this bit.Edit: Try it now please. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B02Cx1IXK4EqWmMzVkE1VjJJU2M/edit?usp=sharingEdit again, I've unlocked the 6 requests I've had via email so they should work anywayJohn

I'm new to posting these shared files. If you get the images of the spreadsheet pages you can download the file and open it, ideally with Office Excel, mines version 2007 so most will work. The option I went for was "available to anyone with the link"Did it open for you Q ?John

Here's a Trade Calculator Spreadsheet that might be of some useI wrote it years ago but never got paid for it, so its mine to do what I like withClick on the blue buttons to move around the pageshttps://docs.google.com/file/d/0B02Cx1IXK4EqMTJlU1lObi1sVnM/edit?usp=sharingJohn

Great, I've made the changes to the savings interest and the rate. It was using 5.5 but was rounded up in the cell to 2 decimal points to .6If I include a line for WFA is it treated as a pension payment and does that get 10% offHopefully Parsnips can give it a once over and me a few ideas on how to develop this further so it can be better usedJohn

Hi NormanSee if this works,https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B02Cx1IXK4EqRy1yemxlQ2J1UTQ/edit?usp=sharingJohn

Thanks for the SpreadsheetI lost some of the formula transfering it to Excel and with all the rain I've had time to fiddle with the spreadsheet restoring the lost dataHave a look at my attempt and see if you approve the changes !I'll email to you ( edit, just tried, can't see how you do that )John

The standard form 2042 with the 8TK is now available for download off the French Tax WebsiteIt was put on in the last hour or so,John
-
The French Tax Website says the tax return 2042 is going to be available after the start of this month but no sign of it yet !I assume ( and someone will probably correct me ) that the different forms of this form will then be availableJohn
-
Is this the same Connexion that last year on page 5 of their "How to ...Tax Guide" they say forms can be downloaded from www.impots.gouv.ukDon't think so !If you are going to charge 9.50 Euro for a booklet, then at least you should get it right ! John

As you point out it is all about front line service and unfortunately staff move around or leave. That's why I made the point in my post that I do 99% of my banking on-line.I've been with Santander in the UK since it was Abbey National in 1968 but would change in a flash if I could ( no UK address now )Last fiasco was I sent up a direct debit and their fraud section completely locked me out of my account for over 3 weeks because they didn't like something. No reason was ever given, no appology made !So CA seem good by comparison ( so far )
Did you see that I had tried to repost my reworked spread sheet?
Yes, thanks very much Norman, like others that turned it into a "proper spreadsheet" Excel ( only joking) it lost one formula along the wayWhen I put my millions in it showed up and I cut and pasted the formula above, so no problems.Your spreadsheet says I owe a few Groats so I'll be a happy bunny if its rightI'll rest when I can download the full 2042 and send it on its wayThanks again, John
-
Yes, I've got the same problem.Mine was partially filled by the Tax Office and has the 8TK box missingYou and I will have to wait until after the 1st May before the full form is available to downloadI'm tempted to write to the Tax Office and ask them not to repeat the mistake but I might wake a sleeping monster John
-
We use CA Centre France and find them really good. Mind you, I do 99% of my banking on the internet.Their English speaking help-line is good but you do have to wait a while to speak to someoneFunny how you first pick which bank to use.CA were the only bank, when we first arrived in France willing to change a couple of 500 Euro notes into lower denominationsSo we opened an account !Welcome to CreuseJohn
-
Thanks NormanOn my paper version there is no 8TK because its a simpified pre part-completed version that was sent out to me ( by mistake I think )I'll have to wait till after 1st May when the down-loadable version of a normal full form is available.I must admit I did trawl the internet trying to find why my form was different. And then I tried completing the Return on-line and got really spooked when it said twice that my figures don't add up, when I knew they didApparently the version I got was for someone still in work ( whatever that this, must be something I once did? )John

You're not on your own.I can be an idiot sometimes ( or so my wife keeps telling me )If you don't ask you don't learn. It's when you don't learn that's the problemGlass of Merlot or Tax Form? Merlot wins againJohn

Legrand do one http://www.elecproshop.com/mecanismes/9845-interrupteur-a-tirage.html
The pull cord is extra!! [:-))]
Apparently they're still used in hospitals etc.
Thanks Sid,For nearly 25 Euro wouldn't you think you would get a cord. Its not like you could use it without ( even with very long arms )An MK switch from the UK cost £5 and you get a cord thrown in John -
Thanks Norman,Filling in 2047K & 2042 SK but can't find 8TK anymore ?Glass or 2 of Merlot needed.Put the form away till next week, better luck then
