Since my last question about International schools, we have now visited www.ecole-privee-bilingue.fr at Baillargues, and also IBS of Provence at Aix-en-Provence.  We liked both schools very much, but the big difference is that the former does the French exam system and is therefore really an international school for the French (ie teaches them English!). Also, big development since then - we have now (yesterday) found and bought our dream home in France - a 16th century mill on the river near Sommieres which is half way between Montpellier and Nimes! Therefore, we are now trying to find an international school for our 12 year old boy (ie one that allows taking of exams in English) within daily reach of Sommieres. So - any more ideas anyone, or any suggestions of websites on which I can thoroughly check this out? (Also I'd love to hear from anyone who lives near Sommieres or Montpelier / Nimes !) Stephen

We're hoping to move to the South of France and our main constraint is we'd need a bilingual school for my 13 yr old son Robert.  Does anyone have recommendations for such a school (and consequently place to live!  Definitely in the South because we want the good climate) ??  So far I've identified suitable schools at Aix-en-Provence and also Cannes.  Are there any others?  (I've been through online lists of international schools in France, but most don't seem for this age range). Hello, we're thinking of moving (from Bristol, UK) to somewhere near Aix-en-Provence.  We'd be looking to buy a house within a 15 km radius of Aix-en-Provence.  We'd want a 4+ bedroom place with at least 1000 sq m of land, but would prefer an older property, run down, for us to renovate into what we want.  Please does anyone have any thoughts on roughly what this would cost and is there much variation in price between this area of Provence and other areas, or even across the South of France?  Would love to hear from anyone who has done similar...
