We used Hunts earlier this year, had furniture in storage from November to March then moved us down to Montpon. I could not fault them in any way. Prices were competative they took great care of everything and collected and delivered on time.

When I took my car for its controle techniqe I was told we could download the demande de certificate d'immatriculation before going to the prefecture, but he didn't know where from. Does anyone know the website.

I have been told that the form I need to fill in at the perfecture to change my UK car over to French plates is available on-line and can therefore be printed off, and filled in before going to the office. The guy at the controle tecnique however didn't know where just that it could be done. Does anyone have the web address. 

Have travelled down road today and it is open although not finished

We are moving over in about ten days, and have had our headlights changed in preperation, however in spite of hunting everywhere can find no receipt anywhere for our five year old car. Can anyone help in advising what will happen if we cannot provide one and if ther is any alternative we can provide. Thanks for any help.

We have recently opened a bank account with Barclays in Bergerac. Although we went into the branch thay were quite happy for us to do it from the uk. Your local branch will put you in touch with Barclays international in France. We have however found Moneycorp cheaper to transfer money through and they also give a better rate of exchange

We are moving to the area in March, our French at the moment is limited, does anyone out there know of a Doctor who has a working knowledge of English. Any help anyone can give us for settling in the area would be great, especially as I will be on my own until August when my husband will be able to join me.
