My boyfriend has bought a house in the Cher region. He has children from previous relationships whom he has not seen for years due to pressure from the mothers. He wants me to inherit the house if he dies. We do not currently live in France. Is there anything at all we can do to arrange this - reading the forum, I think not! Also, his ex-wife (divorced for years) is mentioned on the title deeds - will she receive anything? Thanks in advance.

Just a note to help out new imports to the area, like ourselves! The Troc d'Ile stores are all over the place (check internet) but we found the one on the main road in Montlucon by far the best. Also tried Chateauroux and Bourges but at least a quarter of the price at Montlucon. Great oak tables and chairs as well as maple beds (and everything else you can think of!) at amazing prices. For new electrical items, try BUT in Montlucon and other areas (again check website). Just some information I wish I had known! Happy New Year to all.

Am over on 5th December til 18th and wondering if any antique fairs etc going on anywhere? Also, will be looking for bathroom suites/shower cubicles, kitchens, beds etc - everything really! Can travel to Chateauroux, Montlucon, Limoges etc areas. Thanks.
