Does anyone know the legal position in France for following: We will have an english T V in France which will be attached to a DVD player. There is no aerial on the house or on the TV. The T V will be unable to receive french (or english) T V channels. Do we need a licence ?

Brought French TV back 4 years ago: 1) had to pay £30 to enable reception of U K channels 2) further £30 to get the sound of U K channels !! Cheaper to buy one in U K ( P S You will now have to convince French authorities that you no longer have a T V there. The onus is on you to prove this - not theirs. Beware.
