We own an old farmhouse in the Loire region.It is currently heated by log burners with old expensive electrical heaters as back up.We need to change the back up heaters,has anyone any suggestions between ,oil fired,cisterne gas with radiators,or just update to a modern efficient electrical system?Also can anyone recommend an installer in the Saumur area who is capable of doing the work?..many thanks Richard

Hi will be taking my laptop down to France in the coming months and want to be able to access the web over a dial up connection. The phone line is already in place in my property so I just need some advice on which provider to use and how to go about setting the connection up on the laptop - presume it will be like UK providers with a downloadable .exe file that adds the connection to the dial up options in WINXP? Can anyone advise and let me know how to do this and which provider is a good choice? Thanks

We have owned a property in the Loire for the last 3 years.It used to have a phone line installed but was brought down by storms,and we were happy to use a mobile.We now want to be connected but are having major problems contacting France Telecom from the UK either by phone 0800364775 or by email (just not being answered) Can anyone help with suggestions please many thanks
