My hope was shortlived, after a good day of reasonable use, the problem has returned. It is not the adsl filters as i have tried three of them! I am sure the problem must be with the line, there is no conducteur in the phone socket. Any help would be appreciated!

No, had a livebok six months ago but it was a disaster so i returned it within the week. I use a 3com modem now, which has given great service. I can't understand why this problem has suddenly matierialised.

This rather bizarre state of affairs seems to have happened in the last two weeks, I cannot comprehend why. Any help or past experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All, for quite a while now a leaking shower has plagued our house in the Charente. After copius amounts of searching for leaking joints and pumping silicone into corners I have realised that it is infact the grout between the tiles which is pourous! Does anyone know of a product similar to Ronseal tile paint, preferably of the clear variety that could be painted over all the tiles and grout? Any help would be much appreciated! Ed 

Thanks for your reply. I have two banks of computers in two parts of the house that require wired connections and these are serviced by two routers, both are some distance from the phone point, therefore i need all the ports on both routers. The attractiveness of reducing the phone bill is the main reason for this venture, however I cannot see an alternitive to using the livebox for téléphone illimité.   Ed

Hi All, I have decided to take orange up on their téléphone illimité offer. However to enable me to access the free calls i must use the livebox, something i am not too keen on as i am more than happy with my two wireless routers. It is necessary that the livebox be connected to the main router to allow full use of our home network. Has anyone tried to do this before? Is it possible to use the livebox as the modem and then connect it to a 3com router to connect all our laptops/computers to the internet?   Many Thanks Ed

Does anyone have any expierience of this particular internet method and if so what companies did you use. Our internet connection at the moment is the 1mm from Orange and it just is not fast enough for our needs right now and with no sign of a line upgrade soon I need to start exploring other possibilities. Would some kind soul please try and clarify for me the regulations governing 3 gites with a swimming pool, is this classed as public or private. What are the regulations that i must adhere to if it is public, i was going with the automatic chlorine system anyway which i believe is a must for DDASS approval, but what about showers footbaths and even handicapped access for swimming. I plan on 14 guests this is not a hotel swimming pool! I live in Charente, are the DDASS strict on these points, is common sense used and is there anyway round these problems? Thanks in advance.
