If I took a double scart connector from the UK, will it work with a French TV? I want to take a dvd player but the sat box uses a scart too. Thanks

Coming over to the house in about a week and am intending to buy a French TV. I have a spare TV aerial here in the UK and I thought that I would bring it with me and use it with the French TV. Does anyone know if it will work? If not, what sort of aerial will I need to pick up French Terrestrial TV? Thanks Carla

Hello I have a tenancy agreement in English which I am thinking of using for an english couple wanting to rent my house for 1 year.  I have been told that this is not valid in France unless it is French. I have had a new Switch card recently with the new CHIP and PIN instead of signature. The leaflet says that it can be used as a switch card in Europe for purchases as it can in England. My question is, now that it is CHIP and PIN, can you use it in the 24hr Petrol Station Machines? Anyone tried. Off to France on 13th and would be useful to know. Thanks - Carla

Does the Pool Fencing regulations include Ponds? I have a large Pond in our garden and when advertising I state that the house is unsuitable to rent to families with small children, but ultimately I leave it up to the choice of the client. So far I have had great feedback about how fun it is to watch the fish, frogs and turtles in the pond and no one has mentioned any worries about it. Thanks

Background: Got a Farmhouse, Barn and lots of Land. The barn is a fabulous size and we would really like to convert this to a lovely house. The Farmhouse has mains water, electric and a small bathroom already and enough room upstairs for 3 beds + bathroom. Need to decide whether to spend money on rennovation of farmhouse or just do the barn. Property location is near Arnac Pompadour, 24270 SAINT-CYR LES CHAMPAGNES. Can anyone recommend a building development company/person either French or English that could take a look at both and give us an idea of the cost for each.
