Plasterboarding in a cellar with winter condensation

So if I had say a 4cm gap with some of that "bubble" isolation would that do the job do you think ? -

CU's and Permissions to Build/Convert
Pete-Normandy replied to Pete-Normandy's topic in French Legal Issues
With a CU already approved, and the permis de construire applied for properly by an architect, would there be any likely problems or would it be relatively straight forward ? -
Our place is a Longere type building - half of it is an existing 2 storey house and the other half is a stable downstairs with a hay loft above - way out in the country. It has a new approved CU which was applied for by the Notaire (for habitation of the entire building including the stable side). When we finally move in we want to knock a door through downstairs for access to that side of the house and put in a patio door on the exterior wall and then a window in what will be the bedroom upstairs. There is already access through upstairs. Would I be right to think that with the CU already approved we would just need to apply for permission for the patio door and upstairs window as a building permit. Thanks for your advice

We're way way out in the country on the side of a valley, so we're on the Fosse and quite happy with that. Our place in the UK has a septic tank but it has a soakaway system (so its just a pump out every 24 months or so) whereas the place in Normandy seems to need to be pumped out as it has no soak away. Its an old system and I was wondering if there is any reason why I couldnt add a 2nd and 3rd stage through gravel and have a soak-away ? We discovered that with the existing (separate) plumbing system the bath, sinks, kitchen and washing machine waste water (grey water) just ends up in our field about 20m away from the house in what seems to be a series of shallow gravel filled channels and disperses from these down hill towards the other fields and later the road. Is this permitted or will I need to change it ?

thanks everybody - no I wasnt going to copy the technique, I only have fitted dry lining with a timber frame previously, I was just surprised beacuse I hadnt heard of that system before.

Is it really the French way, to slap several hand fulls of MAP adhesive onto the back of plasterboard and "fix" it to the wall ?

Sky TV
Pete-Normandy replied to Pete-Normandy's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
Thanks for your advice there Will I shall get a good satellite dish and bring my Sky box and card with me when we finally retire to Normandy. We shall be retaining our home in the UK (so the address will be there via Royal Mail re-direction) so hopefully we’ll be OK for full blown Sky in Normandy ? Many thanks -
Thanks folks. Yes we had the Lead and asbestos survey results, both present in very very minor quantities but I pondered about termites and thought it best to ask. Merci.

Is there a termite problem in this area or is it elsewhere in France ? Thanks
