I know the shelf at Intermarche, but find the atmosphere in the market much more fun.   I really enjoy French food, but there is always one thing we cannot do without and for me that is strong Cheddar Cheese and they do a brilliant one in the market.   I personally like French sausages, but for those who want traditional English sausages  I am told the stall sells "the best we have ever tasted".   They seem to sell out as soon as a new supply arrives so if you are visiting St Jean market it is certainly worth getting there early.

Was pleasantly surprised when walking through the indoor market at St Jean d'Angeley  today to find a stall selling English food.  Even happier when I saw the reasonable prices being charged.  The young couple running the stall told me  they were there every Wednesday and Saturday and were proving popular with both the French and English  They had a good selection of Christmas fayre and were even able to supply Christmas cards.                   

Yet another HELP. With our house sold in the UK and a completion date agreed at the end of June we have just found our house purchase in St Jean Angely has gone wrong. We know it couldn't be a worse time to try and rent a property during July and August, but if anyone knows of anything which might be available for a couple of months or more we would be extremely grateful.
