  1. I have a similar dilema for covering a pergola. hadn't thought about the wasp problem. could you suggest any names for ornamental hop vine varieties (don't think my french is up to explaining)?
  2. Problem with the screwfix one is that its a manual hydraulic. good rowing practice (or cross-country skiing)
  3. Visiting our local garden centre (Beziers) I've noticed a that some of the Lemon trees on offer differ wildly in price (for the same size tree). They seem to do a standard 4 seasons tree abot 4ft (plus pot height) for 159 euros and another variety costing 250 euros for the same size.  Any ideas on wether it is worth paying the extra and what the advantages of one variety over another might be?
  4. Presume you mean the hydraulic type? Bought mine from eBay, it was shipped from Germany (to UK) for extra £50, total cost about £180.
  5. I have a house near Beziers and would like to buy some salvaged gates and Iron fence. Does anyone know the location of a salvage/Reclamation yard in this area?
  6. Skype through your computer is great, it costs a fraction of a landline call (just put skype in your search engine)
  7. How do I find out if adsl is available in my area (Creissan)? If not, could you recommend a dial up service, I use the net for several hours per day.
  8. I have a great cordless system of four phones and would like to take them with me, is it possible to fit an adapter? [:)] Thanks to all, you're great!
  9. I'm moving over in November and have a caravan (which I am going to tow) and a trailer. Rather than come back, it would be handy if someone who is driving to the south (I'm going to be near Beziers, but anywhere near will do) would be willing to tow my trailer. I would, of course, cover ferry fee and pay for their time etc.
  10. I read an article recently which included some interesting information: Saga, Primary insurance, Nationwide building society, Lloyds TSB, help the aged and Churchill do not have a limit on the time spent abroad and cover for driving abroad is automatically included. Also, I have just spoken to Churchill and they do not even ask whether the vehicle is LHD, it does not affect the premium!!   You are all correct, having tried to get quotes, their "FULL COVER" turned out to be minimum cover for upto 90 days!! I was just repeating info from an obviously flawed article. Sorry [:(]
  11. EDIT. Change of plan, I'm buying a tipping trailer!! Great idea, much less fuss!! Thanks for the replies.
  12. I have just bought a property near Beziers and would like to take a favourite apple tree with me. It is quite small (6ft) and transport is not a problem, but would it be legal?
