I have a compressor but no nailer. Could anyone recommend a nailer suitable for 1st fix, and nails up to 90mm that I can puchase in UK. It is mainly for roof and stud work. Thanks

We have recently moved to the St Hiaire-du-Harcouet region of Normandy and would like to get a little gathering of animals. Does anyone know where we could get 2 pygmy goats? We are also thinking of egg producing chickens, but not sure which variety. We are novices at keeping both so any info would be helpful. John & Sandra

We are in the process of purchasing a plot of land with a 'barn' which we would like to convert to living accomodation. However, it has come to light that the building was originally a farm house and has been used as a barn for some years. We would like to return it to a home.  Without adding any extensions to the existing building,  would a Permis de Construire suffice to restore the property. We are in 50, St Hiliare de Harcouet

We are in the process of planning a move to Normandy. There will be grand parent and parents in one property.( Divided to have own front doors!) having sold both of their UK homes. My wife, young daughter and I will be going in a couple of years.  If possible and permission granted, eventually we would like to build our home on the same plot of land. We will keep our property in UK to let out. Because of the tax system in both countries, how best would it be to make the purchase in France to alleviate excessive IHT etc . In our names because we're a little bit younger or set up a company with all as directors? Would things be different if we were not granted planning and bought a house?. Any experience with this kind of move would be appreciated..

I haven't made the commitment yet, so another holiday is looming:) Instead of doing the obvious straight/quick route to our camp site just south of Orleans, does anyone know a pleasant scenic route to get us there.  4 adults and one 6 yr old.  We would even consider a worthwhile stop over.
