Good point, there is no doubt that the BF ships are pretty comfortable but for many people that's not really the point. All I want is to get to France quickly and cheaply. If you are unfortunate enough to live in the West Country and want to get to Brittany you need to either drive the biggest part of an extra 700 miles or bear the cost of no competition. However LD Lines are well connected and might be prepared to make the investment after this initial dipping of their toes .....?

I've been well taken by LD Lines since they suddenly appeared. They even offered free crossings as a promotion! Lets hope they find a way to compete on the Western Channel and give our friends in BF a hard time [;-)] the prices on the Plymouth Roscoff route are still making my eyes water.
