  1. Yep,definately Savigné.

Thanks for the link BB. I've already been on that site but I see it's open for someone to add his/her name.

I've e-mail many times over the years, but only a handful of times has Monsieur Le Maire (René Massonnet) replied, it's normally the secretary. As it happens I e-mailed them yesturday, so maybe I will strike lucky and find out his/her name when they reply.

    Thanks all,

    Y

  2. Thanks all,

This has crossed my mind while trying to come to a decision, why the majority stay with EDF. Better the devil you know as some have said I think could be true. Staying with the previous owners choice I'm warming to. Not sure why, maybe because they were elderly rural people who were thrifty, so maybe their research led them to Sorégies, taking advantage of an appealing tarrif.

I'll shall keep muling it over for a few more days.

    Regards,

  3.    We are now exactly four weeks away from owning our house in France and putting some serious thought about the electricity.

From what I see written in the C de V, and I think I've understood it correctly, the previous owners were supplied by Sorégies. I believe that if we wanted to use EDF instead, we can, as we will be new owners. Is this correct?

At first, we thought we would continue with them as their tarrifs look quite good. We would only be interested with the 3kVA tarrif. But I have read (on a forum) that once you move away from EDF, you cannot return to them, is this still the case.

Does anybody know what the pro's and con's are of either supplier, please.

    Regards,

  4. We had a similar problem with our two new kittens now a year old. I believe they feel the need to do their business just after they've eaten, so I observed their habits and true enough, just after they had eaten they headed straight for the tray. Our tray wasn't too far from the back door, so when they started to sniff, scratch or climb into the tray, I quickly picked him up and popped him outside. After a few days of this I got rid of the tray.

Another tip I've heard is to gradually move their tray closer to a door, but I've not tried this, so I don't know if it works.

We now put our one year old cats outside at night (when the tray was finally removed) as too often I would come down in the morning and find deposits. Not nice to wake up to! My old cat is fine at night so stays in, if he wants to.

I don't know of any products, I've just cleaned the carpets with carpet cleaner which seems to do the job. Luckily mine didn't use the furniture.

Thankfully they are trained now and naturally go to the door when they want to go out. With the nicer weather, I can leave the door open and they wander in and out as they please.

    I hope this helps.
