Martin, you are a genius! Its working again. Any ideas why that should just suddenly happen like that? -
Has anyone elses Freeview stopped working please? Mine went off at 1030 last night and is still off. Signal test shows the same strength/quality etc. I get the message 'there is a technical fault try later' on all channels.

Does anyone know please if France Telecom have an equivalent to 1471 - to find out the number of a missed call? Thanks.

Thanks for the help. will go to that website, and then up the ladder to measure the dish! Perhaps a bigger dish will solve it. I am in Manche, by the way. -
I have freeview sat and whenever it rains or the winds blow, the picture breaks up, especially on the BBC channels. Can anyone suggest a solution to this please?

Thanks Peter, have checked that site out and now have the address of my local Chambre des Metiers. Still unclear as to whether I need to register with them to get my CDS, but I can now call in and ask.

I want to get a carte de sejour and I believe that as I am self-employed (working in the UK, not France) I have to register first at a chambre des metiers. Is that correct? Thanks.

We have some land to rent out at the end of this year when the present farmer retires. we kept his rent at a peppercorn level when we bought the house and land, but when we let it out in Dec we would like to get a fair rent. Does anyone know please, who is responsible for setting a fair rent? Is it SAFER, or a notaire? Thanks.

Thanks for all the help. I think I will apply for one.

Could anyone tell me please, if I apply for a titre de sejour does this give me temporary residency and if so, is this automatically given to my wife too? Thanks.
