Can anyone suggest the correct or most successful way of locating the owner of a property? There is a semi derelict very small but pretty town house where we holiday regularly. We would very much like to enquire if it is for sale. After asking the neighbours who say it has not been lived in for years we found a name on the doorbell and of course know the address. If I speak to the Marie do you think he may be able to help. The house is in a small town. Or would a local Notaire help? Thank you. Jennifer

I am sure this has been covered many times before but could anyone please give me a rough idea of the cost of a town gas central heating system, that is boiler and aprox 8 radiators, and is it true that plumbing is far costlier in France than the UK? We are renovating a small town house in Dept 86 (Vienne). Any help would be most appreciated.
