Hi everyone I don't know if anyone likes skiing, mountain biking and walking but we have just bought a house in the Jura Mountains, I have just got back from kitting the house out and i am so pleased I have bought there, fantastic place, beautiful and hardly any Brits, it hasn't been discovered yet.I have lived in the Alps and skied there but was amazed at the skiing and the variety, piste skiing with fab views of the alps, brilliant snow, Ski de fond which is like cross country skiing, very easy and Rackett skiing which is like walking on snow shoes. I was amazed at the chice of routes. It is also the world championship area for mountain biking. There are some great walking routes with breathtaking views!!!!! You can imagine Hedhi skipping down the pastures, real choclate box country. If any of you fancy a change I would reccommend this area for an all round holiday for young and old, loads to do. Our house is situated near Mouthe, the Doubs region, Mouthe is about 1 1/2 hours from Geneva, and about 20 mins south of Pontarlier. Hi Has anyone got any knowledge of Fly fishing in the doubs area as it is meant to be very good, if they have, how did they go about getting a permit or what do you do Thanks Charlotte

Hi I have just sold my house in brittany because we wnat to move to the Jura/Doubs border, we want something in the mountains, next to skiing would be great has anybody got any experience of good areas to look. We have been there before and loved it and have some French friends north of Pontarlia. Would love any advice Thanks Charlotte
