We have a put our house in Brittany with a French agent (La Foret) to sell it. We signed an exclusivity agreement without really reading the small print. We have also put the property on the French Property News website. We have now been told by the French agent that we will have to pay their full commision c. 6900 euros if we sell the house privately. Whilst my French is not great I do not think that the agreement is explicit on this matter. Have any other readers had a similar experience. regards Steve

If anybody is travelling back to Uk via Roscoff this weekend with an empty van and would like to help us bring some furniture back we would obviously be very grateful and would make the slight detour well worthwhile
