1. have been to the pharmacy and ordered some of the expensive stuff tres expensive, but maybe cheaper than through your vets. I will also try geranium essence/oil and maybe use sparingly the expensive, and more liberally the cheaper.  thankyou for both suggestions, from one at the moment mud covered, so possibly more comfortable horse, also ex racer...                                      sharon

5. to properly enjoy your fishfinger sandwich, you must press on it with both hands, before you eat it, and preferably add tomato sauce before squashing.   yummm

9. hi, I think 7mths is not long enough to really know if your going to be happy in France, I have now been here 3.5 years, and really only felt settled for the last year and a half. My husband has moved back to the uk permanantly, and I want nothing more than to stay here, even on my own, the main difficulty is finding employment, but it,s very easy to make friends, and this makes a big difference, I hope you feel different about it all in a few weeks..
10. hi, France one call, is another good company to advertise with.

14. hi, i know quite a few people here who let their property, long term and short term, with no problems. I think you would be wise to advertise to the english, either in an english magazine, or on the web, either setting your own site, or through experianced company such as france one call,, or, gites in france, i feel this would be your safest bet.
15. as already said, gas bottles are easily bought from the garage, i bought the fittings from a local electrical shop, selling fridges, washing machines etc. no probs..
16.
Wow, this must surely have quite an impact on the pool companies themselves then?I understand that you must always fill a liner pool as soon as it's built otherwise the liner can be damaged?
I am also in the charente maritime, and would really like to know, what the legal requirements are on both filling and topping up your pool.
17. can someone confirm the new regulations, that state you are now unable to fill your pool via mains, you must use only natural sources, ie rain water, wells, streams etc, this is to be enforced by the gendarmerie, who, if no natural source can be found, will impose a €3000 fine, this also includes topping pools up.
