>>Hello Ray, welcome back ! <<Thank you, CA! I have been lurking but these last six months havebeen pretty 'hairy' around here. Nothing dramatic but just aseries of aggravations coming one after the other. I got them alltaken care of now and am back to my normal abnormality. My thanks to Ty, Tresco and others who asked about me. That was very much appreciated. Now . . . . off to my next windmill!Don Qaka

>> Dont rise to the bait baby!<<You've got it, Triple K!! Another way of saying it is -'Consider the source and move on!' That is why you never see meresponding to certain people. It must be terrible spending one's life having to be 'right all the time'.
Well it might keep Pete&Hilary inEurosport for a bit. Kind offer Ray. Wonderwhere they are in France?
Almost to Bordeaux in 16, I think.
Just like us in the UK, where themental stimulation of following French TV beats the comatose-inducingeffects of the stuff we can get on an ordinary UHFaerial! Most of the time at least....
I have an analogue dish, LNB and decoder you (or anyone else) can have if you want it.

No indeed the German digital one is free. But I had already mentioned that one in the previous post....
It is frustrating that - simply because of the way German TV is set
up - that they enjoy so many channels FTA when us UK-based mugs (atleast those who stray no further than Sky) find that they arechargeable, unless that is we go out and get a dish that accessessatellites other than Astra 2.
Sigh! Life CAN be cruel! We have one dish with two LNBs. We get a few Brit channels but don't watch them. -
Ah but you're paying for the French version via your abonnement.....
Ah, but not the one in German. The CS one is part of the basicpackage. We very frequently watch about 10 canals. What isthat line about 'lunches'?

We get it on Astra in German and Canal Satellite in French. Both digital.
The Mairie can also do an authenticated copy. Ionce asked the gendarmes and they said that that would not besufficient, although I do realise that every gendarme in the countrymay have their own idea about this.
Well now, I'm glad we got that all sorted out and know exactly what to do now.Sigh!

In spite of what the PM is saying and how
well prepared France is supposed to be. I cannot but think thatinformation has not reached paysanne level yet. AND that these greatprotection/security things that are being put in place are for the bigcities and their banilieu rather than everywhere. -
>>whatever the part of a chicken they are.<<Chicken lips compressed into blobs, rolled in sawdust and boiled. It's the dip that makes the difference. Happy eating!!

>>Ray - we did consider "the full monty" for about 15 seconds.Personally, I have no particular qualms about exposing myself to ourlocal priest and the children's headmistress (I used to play rugby, yousee), but the other members (no pun intended) of the troupe felt thatperhaps the village isn't quite ready for it. I have decided to deferto their judgement as they have lived here rather longer than I have.<<Just trying to help! (g) Now about this headmistress and you in a scrum . . . . . .
RayB, long time no see. How are you?
Hey, Super-T, nice of you to ask! The answer is - Gooddays, bad days and too many of the latter. But - still enjoyinglife to the fullest. I've been lurking but rarely had thecompulsion to jump in on any thread. We have our best friends from Denver here the end of March for 10 days. They come at least once a year. Then, out of the blue, our 17 yr old petite-fille, who we don't evenreally know, wants to spend her 18th birthday with us in May. Wehaven't seen her since she was four. Talking to her over the years hasbeen like talking to a rock. Will be very interesting to say theleast. Always necessary to have things to look forward to.How are you doing?

I don't have that one but I DO have 'The Full Monty' if you want tochange routines. They could be entertained and get a little (no pun intended)Sex-Ed at the same time.
This ban has been in Switzerland since autumn 2005but most people get over it by netting over the chicken/duck/geese"outside space", so they still can be outside which I think is so muchbetter than locked indoors.
Netting won't work. Flu is transferred through droppings.

Be thankful! We had the same treatment
once, I think it must be standard procedure, although I was slightlynervous about having the still burning wood burner standing in themiddle of the room. I think you will find that they do get paid, butyou could always have an expensive calender next Christmas.Chris
In July of 2003 at 0300 we called them as I was having seriousrespiration problems. They were there in 12 minutes. Afterstabilizing me, I was in Urgence in St Malo Hospital on lifesupport in 17 minutes. They literally saved my life. Wepaid 100€ for the calendar that year and considered it quite a bargain. -

RayB - do TRY to stay awake, I'm the one who said "must".
The 'you' was generic, John. I was agreeing with you anddisagreeing with the 'must/can' in the definition. Do try playingcloser attention. -
Keep them on you;DON'T leave them in the vehicle!!
Have to disagree . Always keep the vehicle
documents in the vehicule and not on your person. With five vehcules inour family , anyone of us who drives any of the vehicles will alwaysknow that during a controle, the vehicule papers are at hand, and not in your partners handbag (the term handbag refers to both maleand female as it is perfectly oK for men to have handbags here!)Paul
I agree with your logic, Paul, and we do the same. The law
doesn't agree with us, however. We keep it hidden in the car. -

If you look up the dictionary definition of should you will discover that it is really the same as must.

Tell you what, John, leave them all at home and when you get

I thought that it is a question of "must" rather than "should" but I amsure others will confirm/deny.

Do you still put milk in your tea ? [:|]
Does it matter?
Yes . . . it makes the milk undrinkable! -
For Lamb, Beef, Veal and Canard, our preference is 'A Point' . Chicken and Pork should be thoroughly cooked but not incinerated tillit is cooked dry.
