We have been trying to buy a property in Normandy for the last 10 Months. The property consists of an old dwelling with a large barn attached. It now seems the authorities will not issue a CU because of various reasons, which are debatable i.e. no other houses in the area, yet there are other properties on all sides Has anyone bought a property without a CU and managed to obtain one at a later date. Or bought a property and done minor renovations and used it for occassional weekend etc staying in a caravan on site with a CU.
