  1. I have been asked the following question by a client- Can anyone advise if there are specific laws/regulations relating to the use of fire or non fire retardant soft furnishings, eg sofas in rental properties. Obviously, it is better to err on the side of caution but what does French law say (if anything)? Thanks Ross
  2. Hello, We have a specialist website promoting properties in France for long lets of I month or more. There are several properties in our Limousin section that may be suitable. Please have a look: www.RentaplaceinFrance.com If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch. We often have other properties not yet on the website. Best of luck Ross

  4. Does anyone know if it is possible to use a domestic Kitchen to produce baked goods for sale in markets or would a commercial kitchen be required? What authority would regulate this - the local Mairie? Thanks Ross
  5. Hello, I would have thought you could get some of the skiing market, maybe cross country which is a big thing now in the Pyrénées, and these people do not need to stay right on the slopes. There is also the long-term letting market, i.e. people renting for 2-3 months in the winter. We have ourselves rented for a couple of months in the winter in the Pyrénées. Good luck Ross
  6. Does anyone know of any restrictions in running a market stall in France selling home produce? I would presume you would need a permit from La Mairie but is there a limit on numbers or do you have to live within the area?
