I have seen the new loyalty point’s scheme now in place with LD. I can understand how it works, but is it good value? Can anyone help me with some info?

Why is it that us Brits just stand by and get ripped off? Looking at taking the car across on the train would cost from this Saturday for two weeks £254 return. The same train in reverse booking it in France return is £122. I wish we could all get together to boycott the train until they bring their prices down to what they charge the French!

We are looking for some one in the Cany Barville area (76) to clean our house in between lets. Hours would be from 12.00 noon for two hours but this could be negotiable as well as the salary.

We have a large house in Normandy (76) and have let it out to family and friends. We put an advert in our Christmas cards three year ago and the bookings came in. This year the bookings have dried up. Can anyone help as to the best place to put an advert and at what cost? We are not looking for wall to wall bookings just the summer holidays will do.

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I had no idea there was an asbestos content to these roof tiles. Does this cause problems when trying to dispose of them? Also thanks for giving me some idea of cost; one problem how big is your roof. Can you let me know how that works out to a square mt?

Can anyone help? We are Normandy (area 76) style house with half brick and beams. There seems to be a lightweight roof on our property. The tiles seem to be made out of some fibrous material. The tiles where once black but now seem to be going white.(not sure of age) They are about 300mm square and about 6-8mm thick. Question. What are they made of? What is their life span? How much a mt would it cost to have them replaced? Any help would be appreciated
