Will it be a problem having a UK car in France for 6 months?

Probably been asked a thousand times, but can I bring all my electrical appliances to France? Will they work by plugging in through a simple adaptor plug. I know about TV (SECAM/PAL) and that the phones may not ring

Is it possible to do this and with whom? I need to set up an account before I move across in 5 weeks time. Can anyone help?

Hello everyone, my first post. We are moving out the Villbois Lavalette soon and would like to know if anyone has managed to take their sky+ box from the UK and set it up in France. I have read some posts on the problems of activating cards etc.
