Hello, I have had an Insurance renewal bill from AXA in Mont de Marsan. I sent them an IMO for the correct amount, only to be informed that the cost of depositing it into a French bank would be 23,38€ and because of this the IMO is now being sent back to me in the UK. Does anyone have any Ideas on how to send money to this Insurance firm or better still know of an Insurer that will accept my business?

Does anybody know whether our Plum headed parakeet needs any papers/ passport or whatever to travel with us to France next year, also will he be let back into the UK when we return?

I and my wife have now become the proud owners of a part of France. and was wondering whether ther is any laws regarding the 'right to roam'. Not that we intend to roam, it's just our 30acres of Ancient Forest doesn't seem to have a solid boundary, just a line on a map. My wife would not like the possability of roaming locals or anyone else for that matter stumbling across our refuge in the forest, without being invited. Would it be better to fence the forest (at vast expence) or leave it be. I understand the area has been used for hunting Wild Boar and other Game. Could we restrict this?

I have bought an unfinished house in France and was considering driving down in a motorhome (read converted library) towing my escort van using an A-frame. My knowitall mate reckons that A-frames are banned in Spain and also in France. I don't mind if they are in Spain but would like to know if they are in France. Saw plenty of them last year. does anyone know the real truth of this question???
