1. Ron ... your comment from earlier on
    >>>Also strange but most of the worlds greatest leaders and innovators have been white and men, good job they got the chance to shine wasn't it...<<<

Did you know that many Nobel Peace Prizes were given to non white :

    Dai Lai Lama
    Koffe Annan
    Nelson Mandela
    Martin Luther King
    Muhammad Yunnus

    and to women :

    Ang San Suki
    Sherin Ebadi
    Wangari Mathaii

To name but a few. For them to have had this big accolade surely they must have been leaders and innovators of a kind   [8-)]

  2. My parents sent me last year's calendar in their habitual New Year's letter to me! [:D] Wonder if I'll receive the new edition this year...

Did you ever see the original calendar made by that WI institute in Yorkshire? It was the basis of the film 'Calendar Girl'. I met the ladies of that calendar at a charity thing for Cancer Research in London. The ladies were so unassuming of their success, so lovely. You wouldn't have thought it was them on the calendar should you have walked pass them in the street. The party was a great one.

Also chilli vodka ... has anybody made this?
Wash a dozen or so chillies and plop them inside the bottle of vodka. Leave in cupboard for a week to a fortnight. Resist all temptation [6] For more umph slice the chillies lengthway but do not take the seeds out. They are the little bits that gives the umph [:D] Enjoy ! It will give your Bloody Mary some warmth [8-|] guaranteed!

....So if a guy or woman stated they were "Bajan" you would probably instantly think they were black. Not necessarily so!
Same prob in Zim! I know many that are Zimbabweans and state so. Which to most will mean that they're black. But they are not black they are white, born and bred there. Some families have been for at least 5 + generations.

Mr Mugababoon thinks they are his enemies! All of them had the welfare of that country at heart and feeding its population...

Sorry [:$] digressing a bit here.....

  5.
But that is their cultural heritage and sacred. These are fashions and stupid.
admit that you truly want to wear a skirt [:D]  that you can feel everything loose, breezy and easy [6] [:P]

  6.
...   We never have turkey!
Quite right! Over rated.

Last year I had to cook for the entire out-laws tribe (26 on the rollcall!) The Queen Mother was adament that she will have turkey+trimmings and everyone else wanted beef roast+trimmings. I duly obliged to cook as they paid for all the food. I didn't mind the cooking it got me out of their way...

I was quite cross that as she sat for Xmas lunch that old QM declared that she hated turkey [8-)] and I really had wasted my time cooking it [:'(]... A certainly was a waste as no one ate any of it, the dog had a feast on it...

This Xmas, if I haven't managed to escape to a sunnier place where Xmas is not 'de rigueur', I am cooking a curry feast with bahjis, pakoras, samosas, spices, chillies, pilaw rice, dahl, pappadums, puris, sambals etc... etc... etc... and sod it if the QM objects [6][:D]

The "new look" below waistline jeans ,younger females are wearing , are a turn-off.

    ....
and some young men wear... Went shopping in some big mall last Saturday about an hour's drive from here, some of the young men I saw had their wide belt holding their jeans almost down to their knees and were just hobbling rather than walking.... and the sight of their underpants in various states of thread bare and various shades of washingmachine induced discolouration..... Ych yr fi ![+o(] !

Nothing wrong with these skirts for men. the Scots wear them don't they ... if nothing else under [;-)] [:$]

  8.

So, what IS the real issue?  Perhaps you'd care to spell it out?
I think its rather insensitive of you to pursue your line of questioning, when the real issue is blatantly obvious to most, and if not to you then I think you should'nt involve yourself.
tj... you read/sound a little curt ... It is a perfectly valid question that Sweet17 is asking... what do YOU think is the real issue here... unless it has touched a raw nerve with you.....

  9.  After all that cooking, Domestic Goddess you must indulge with a large sherry, put your feet up and tell someone else to do the washing up...  [:D]

Ris de veau for those who don't know = the thymus part of the veal or the lamb. A bit like eating 'cervelle' in texture and unctuousness

  10. Dainty! Never mind dreaming and waiting for someone.... It's an extremely clean plucker! well ironed apron, not a spare feather flying about! was there a vacuum cleaner in the background [:D]

I don't remember such state of ordeliness and cleanliness when I've plucked pheasants or other fowls after shooting parties...

  11. Bonjour,

  12.
Soft hearted or weak?
Both.

Soft hearted in the hope that that trait will redeem them to their families and friends for all the horrible things done and said in moments of drunkeness.

Weak for not having any balls to front the bullies or demons or whatever takes them under.
