  1. Looks like he might be, although I will stick to my prediction I made 2 years ago that he would never win another major!
  2. We have just bought a Jotul from here: http://www.stovecentre.co.uk/ They have a large range and their prices seem extremely competitive.  As they are only an hour from us, we went to the showroom and spent an hour and half looking around and chatting to the salesman before deciding on the Jotul. Unfortunately, whilst they are happy to deliver to France, Jotul (and most other companies apparently) cannot keep up with demand at the moment, so ours wont arrive until the end of January! Obviously, by buying in UK, we wont benefit from the 50% tax rebate, but the price was nearly half that in France anyway!!
  3. This is aimed at all you golfers out there!   A new golf course is being planned at Champagne Mouton, Charente. It is still in the very early stages, but the guys planning/building it would like to gauge the level of interest, be it from potential green fee payers, club members, investors or even employees. If you have any interest at all in seeing a golf course in the area, PLEASE can you get in contact with me (indicating your level of interest), either by PM or email. Many thanks, Mike.
  4. With an 18 month old son (plus another on the way  ), we are always on the lookout for things to keep him (them) amused, especially when the weather turns miserable. Does anyone know of any indoor kids playcentres in Dordogne/Haute Vienne/Charente area that are open year round? You know the type of thing - a big open plan building containing a large climbing frame incorporating soft play areas, ball pits, deathslides, etc. In England, they are usually combined with a cafe/restaurant/bar to keep the adults amused as well. We spend a lot of time in the region (all through the year) and really need to find something for 'the boss' to do when the sun isn't shining! Are there any other child-orientated activities that people could recommend in the area - ones that would keep a little fella amused who only slows down when he goes to bed (and then only slightly)! There is only so much babysitting one nana and a grumpy grampy can take during our numerous visits/invasions!!  Any info people have would be very much appreciated.  Thanks. Mike.
