Any one living in deux-sevres who has already registered a uk car here in france. Could you tell me whether it is better to post the documents in to drire or take them in person?

We have a 4 year old ford mondeo rhd which is a 2.0GLX and has all mod cons. the price I have just been quoted for a change of headlights, although I thought the Mondeo was a european car, is euro 180 each!!! Does anyone know if the headlights on such a car can be adjusted or there is a way of obtaining new headlights (legally) at a much reduced price. This price almost makes it worth going back to the UK for an MOT
