  1. Hi , thanks for the replies. The German football club's insurance doesn't cover the operation unfortunately. I think I'm going to have to try another  doctor in France and see if they will operate or offer other advice. The ones i spoke to so far have been changing their mind constantly as to what the problem is and I've lost faith in those doctors. I had thought everything would be ok as  I am covered for an operation in France which is why I didn't contact the insurance company when it happened. I'll need to find one who will operate as you suggested.
  2. Hello, I have a health insurance question - maybe slightly awkward...I live and work in France but play football in Germany I have broken my knee-cap about 4 months ago playing football and am having problems getting help with it. The French doctors do not want to operate on it to remove a piece of broken bone which is causing problems according to doctors in England and Germany that i have shown it to. The German doctor will book me in immediately to do the operation but i'm not sure if I'd be insured in Germany. Has anyone ever had a similar situation and had it covered by the CPAM? My HR department are unable to clarify this. I know there is travel insurance but I'm not strictly travelling when i'm in Germany. I live in Strasbourg...hence the cross-border nature of the question.
  3. Does anyone know if any of the French TV channels are broadcasting the FA Cup final live today? I've not noticed any adverts for it Or will I have to go to the pub to watch it on their Sky TV set?

  5. This is getting confusing...I was given TPS for free via Noos for a 3 week trial period and  I see that they show matches more than once a week so it is possible to watch it via cable. I see there is a channel called English PRemier LEague and i can't work out if that is only available via satellite...anyone know? Otherwise i'll just get the regular TPS....not easy for me to work it out from their website....
  6. Hi, I presume it's been asked before but is there another way of getting English TV in France but not via satellite dish? My landlord won't allow satellite dishes to be installed. So far all I've found is that it's only via satellite...Astrosat...or direct from Sky... I mainly want to get Sky or something to watch the English football as it's been removed from Sport + and put onto TPS Star (another satellite channel).  I have only BBC Prime at the moment and BBC World via NOOS and this is very limited in terms of what they show   Thanks
