  2. Yes thanks, that helps. I asked our French neighbours last week to explain, after hearing them say it a few times, but, as they don't speak any English, we could not arrive at an understanding of it like the examples quoted.

  5. It still has all it's leaves, so does not seem to be deciduous, which are shaped like a Zulu shield 50mm x 25mm, shiny dark green on top and a lighter green underneath, a very tiny tooth at the end of each vein, a very small needle point at the tip, staggered stem. Anyone recognise it?
  6. Is it more economic to switch off a new 200 litre Hot Water Cylinder say every 2nd day and only heat the water every 2nd night at off peak rates, or just leave it on off peak every night? In other words does it cost more to heat from a cold or cooler start than to top up on off peak every night?

  8. My neuf box system is not working, no phone or internet. The only light illuminated on the neuf box is the WIFI indicator, although the system is connected to my computer by an ethernet cable. Neuf assured us the lines inside the house are ok. We checked our box on our next door neighbours system and it is ok. He is on the same France Telecom wire as us and his is working. Any thoughts?   10. Yes a little to the taste, and it's good for you. We notice the difference in taste when we run out of malt extract and have to use honey instead.

We use this recipe which we have developed over the last 10 years to make a 1/2 brown 1lb loaf in a breadmaker. 500g STRONG WHITE BREAD FLOUR 500g STRONG WHOLEMEAL FLOUR 2 TABLESPOONS DRIED MILK 1 TEASPOON SALT 1 TEASPOON SUGAR 1 TEASPOON SUNFLOWER SEEDS 1 TEASPOON LINSEEDS 1 TEASPOON PUMPKIN SEEDS 1 TEASPOON POPPY SEEDS 1.5 to 2 TEASPOONS YEAST (depends on your flour) 2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL 1 TABLESPOON MALT EXTRACT 360ml WATER

  14. I work a rotation of 28 days in Kazakhstan and 28 days off. Can anyone tell me if my days travelling to and from France counts as 2 days in France? The travel days are part of my 28 days off, so I have atually 26 days in France each rotation.

When you put an individual circuit for a built-in fridge, built-in double oven, built-in microwave, built-in dishwasher and an electric hob on an island which also needs a double socket (on the Island), what type of end outlet do they get, e.g. an outlet like a UK oven flex outlet or just a plain socket, and do they need a means of isolation adjacent to each of them? tia scotty
