I wanted to look after animals in my home and have been informed by the Direction Departementale des Services Veterinaires that I cannot do this, I must effectively set up a kennels if I am going to receive money for doing it. Does anyone know what the implications are for receiving payment in kind i.e. animal feeds hay/straw etc instead of money?? Many thanks L

Hi, Can anyone please advise me. My husband has been posted to France to work for the UK home office. We have decided to move to France  perminantely and live in our house in Normandy. The home office have told my husband that there is a certificate (husband has seen copy) to enable us to claim back any medical expenses, nothing else issued. I dont feel this is satisfactory and think we should be able to get Carte Vitalles otherwise we are going to be in difficulty especially if large medical costs are incured. I cant get any sense from anyone in the home office. Has anyone come across anything like this situation? Thanks.  

Sara, Thank you for your reply, the stables sound just what I am looking for.When I move over on 15th Sept, that will be the first place I shall go. My husband will be working in the uk for the next three years, so I will have lots of time to ride.! Hopefully see you there.

Hello, I am moving to Placy Mongtaigu (near St Lo) in September. I want to keep my riding up before I am able to purchace my own horse (a dream come true after 40 years)!. Does anyone know of a riding stables in the area that I could go to?. Many thanks Lyn.
