I too have been particularly interested to find this thread, having just got back from a discussion with my dentist (UK), on the options for long-term replacement of a crowned tooth that is no longer viable. The ideal solution would be an implant - in fact I would need two to fill the gap - and he has given me a ball-park estimate of 2000 per tooth(!) So my first thought was that it must surely be cheaper in France. The trouble is, I have no idea where to look for this sort of pricing information, or how I might set about finding a reputable, and friendly dentist. My dental practice produces a small brochure listing the charges for different treatments (implants being, unfortunately, the only item that is POA), so I am wondering whether anybody out there has a similar list from their French dentist, and could give me any idea of what the cost might be? Also, do they all work to a fairly standardised price structure, or are some more expensive than others? Obviously, I would be paying as a straightforward private patient - not expecting to claim anything back from anywhere. Any advice on any aspect of the matter will be most gratefully received! Regards, Lindsey.
