  1. For small transfers- up to the early thousands a debit card will give an immediate transfer.Otherwise it should not take 3 days. Nat West to France is done same day!

Can't quite follow HIFX at the moment. Seeing a rate on the website of 1.1246 this morning, I rang for a quote to transfer £1000 to France-quoted 1.04/ Last month web rate 1.11508 and quoted 1.066. They were offering fixed 1.10 for 6 months and 1.1050 for 12 months.Tonight on the HIFX website the rate is quoted as 1.3314.Most dealers are thinking the pound is on the rise.I would expect a lower rate for small transactions but I can't see the logic behind todays quotes.

  2. Another company I have come across is MedicAnimal. We have a Cavalier and have found it difficult to order Royal Canin from UK. Here in France a 1.5 kg bag costs €13.10. at Bricpmarche and 13.90 at Leclerc This company charge about £6.75 but a 7.5 kg bag costs £28.24.- a saving of around £15.  Frontline spot on is £13.75Post in UK is free over£29 and France £37.70. Delivery takes about 3 days. If anyone is interested PM me with your email address and you can get a 15% discount off your first order, and I get £5.

  3. Can' t help with shops in your area, but by post  AlterAfrica.com based in France have if I remember 3 varieties, very competitive price, and speedy delivery.Good for spices also.
  4. If anyone is buying chocolate in Lidls, try abar made by J D Gross. There are several varieties, but the one called "Arriba Superieur", with 81% chocolate at €1.19 for 125g is by far the best chocolate I have tasted for quite some time. I have been addicted for some months now,and as there is normally a selection of different bars in each box at the shop,it'san anxious wait to make sure they have some of these in there somewhere!
  5. I have at last managed to buy a reoska off ebay. As it is 2nd hand it has no instructions. Could anyone who has one advise me of some does and don'ts. I have looked at the Lakeland site, but it's the basic's I m after/

    Many thanks

  6. Their updated website says they are loking to expand into different areas, and are looking for people with dry storage and in return they will offer free delivery. I live in the Charente maritime and am trying to find out if they deliver here, but so far have not received a reply to my emails.
  7. The whole thing is totally bizarre.I have had no emails to advise me of the problems being encounntered. I only know of the situation because of this forum. As stated previously I have had a letter following the request to downlaod in anticipation of the upgrade, then a letter avising me that in most cases the upgrade will be processed automatically before 31st march, then a letter with a CD to upgrade the modem. I have decided to do nothing, and of course the latest email dated 3rd April advising I must upgrade by 15th.Thankfully everything is working very well.
