Just one thought, nothing impeding the dish-like a ladder or a tree?

If you have heavy rain, you may well have pixelation.

You can also view most of the channels(apart from TF1) on www.playtv.fr No subscription or download.

You are right.I have "progressifs" for the first time.I think the more you are able to discuss on line the better.I have experienced no problems with mine.Just over £100 for extra thin , semi rimless. Within 2 weeks of receipt from the UK I fell and thought they were so twisted they were not repairable. They carried out a repairs, good as new, and no charge, not even for the postage.

I happened to be channel hopping one day this week, and caught part of a programme called "Rip off Britain"and a chap who I believe used to be an executive with Optical Express stated that the average lense is mass produced and costs about 50p to produce. The most sophisticated lense costs around £10.Someone, somewhere!

"Loose" on sale In Internarche yesterday, together with kippers, as well as the awful Boufees.

Interested to know how you get on. Following a request to update my AVG Free edition, despite several attempts I was unable to complete.Uninstalled using their on line programme, and installed MSE. tells me my PC is virus free etc and seems to work well. However I have to reboot by disconnecting the cable after virtually every use. I also have Zone Alarm pro installed.

Not my cup of tea either, but at the start of his career he recorded with Fats Waller-deserves some kind of recognition.

If only the Chancellor had not gone against the Inland Revenue who had decided that Vodaphone when channelling profits through a Luxembourg based firm in an attempt to avoid paying billions in taxes was a breach of tax avoidance rules. Immediately after the election he cancelled most of the tax bill they were due to pay and said it could go on with it's tax-dodging ruse. The resulting cost in lost tax is at least £6 billion, It would almost take care of the Irish loan.

I also use HIFX,but if I need a rapid same day transfer then this is the best way I can find. When I bought the house I used Sterling Exchange who were by far the best at that particular time.

I will have to do some penance! The second cheque arrived this lunchtime-the guest has omitted the first 1 in the post code. Taken 17 days to get here.

The mail here can be a little late but.....Another couple posted their deposit on Monday, as arranged, and it arrived yesterday. Doesn't prove anything I know. Anyway as of yesterday the weeks have been re-advertised.

Thanks. I think that's all I can do.

Quite! I am anticipating a suggestion that I supply my bank details for an on line payment.

I received an enquiry for a booking for next August. Person tells me has sent in a booking form with cheque. After some 14 days emails to ask if cheque received- it had not. Then says he will stop the cheque and send another.Again 14 days or so have passed- no cheque, No email as yet regarding receipt of cheque. Am I being paranoid or do I have a time waster on my hands? Any experiences?

Initially I had the same message. But now works well with Zone Alarm.

Thanks for the link. However what do the different colours signify-for an ordinary bog standard phone what symbol do I need to check.

Is there a web page to find out what coverage is like in your area?
-
I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but at www.english.rfi.fr there is an interseting daily news bulletin for French and World news. I particularly like the French Press review which is written by someone with a keen sense of humour.

Update from BigDish."As long as our delivery arrives this week(it's late at the moment) then we shall be able to demonstrate our new system at the show this Saturday. It consists of the Sedea S1000 which is a brand new TNTSAT receiver and has the capability of receiving fta channels from other satellites. We can modify standard Sedea dishes, such as that they will pick up signals from both Astra 1 for French TNTSAT and Astra 2 for the main UK channels. The receiver automatically switches between the 2 Satellites by using a DISEqC switch which is mounted behind the dish- so that's 1 dish, 1 cable and 1 satellite receiver for all the main French and UK channels. We now have a factsheet with some photos on our website."

As mentioned on another thread www.playtv.fr will give you most of the French channels apart from TF1, with no costs involved and good quality.
