 think part of the problem is the vast amount of difference in cost of Spanish Private Health Insurance and the quotes that have been given to people living in France.  From other threads / Forums 65 euros per month in Spain for a family to 300 + per month in France. And I believe that Spain to has an excellent Healthcare system.

Hope someone out there can help. Currently renovating house in Deux Sevres in which the previous owner covered the ceilings with polystyrene tiles. Removing the tiles was easy, unfortunately the remaining hard glue on the ceiling is a pain in the a**e to remove. Have tried a solvent bought from Hyper U without much success. Anyone out there got any ideas of how to remove the glue in order to restore the ceilings

Bones; It will be interesting to see if you manage to register your landies. As for my proposed purchases I presumed that as other European countries purchased Land Rovers for their military use and disposed of them through various outlets in the UK they would be eligible for C of C, or am I being to simplistic ??. We are hoping to move to France this year and have secured a 6 month rent whilst we look for a property of our own. I will be bringing over my P38 Range Rover but will return it to the uk prior to the VEL expiring [Dec] in order to sell it to an ex colleague as I am aware about the CT and vehicles with non French fitted lpg systems. I am considering purchasing a lhd ex mod Land Rover. The vehicle will recieve a GB plate ,[unless the company can export and register in France] and driven immediately to France. [insured of course] I have heard of a Certificate of conformity and vat paid reciept. What are they and where would I obtain them from. Can someone tell me, in simplistic terms, what and all documents will I require in order to register the Land Rover on French plates and how do I go about it. Any Land Rover nuts in 85/17/79 borders. Hi all, never been in a forum before so here goes. I am Looking to relocate to France October 2006 and will be looking for furnished rental from October 2006 to May 2007, whilst house hunting. I am willing to sign a contract to cover the rental period. I have tried lots of internet search engines but am unable to find any rental agencies or inviduals that rent for that period of time. Can anyone point me in the right direction or does anyone know of available properties..Thanks in advance
