I have my annual car breakdown cover with Norwich Union. It costs under £100 a year and covers me in all eventuallitites in Uk and France - including returning the vehicle and it's paaengers to the UK. I must admit that my vehicle is not very old and I do not know what the age restrictions are.   Good luck

Just one question, and I feel really stupid asking it.. should the utility bill be from my permanent UK address (where ideally I'd like all correspondence sent) or from the house in France?

Can someone advise me of any special requirements french banks may have when opening an account for an SCI?

I am looking to open a bank account in the Domfront area. My French is not too hot (but taking lessons) and I am very nervous of attempting to do something so important. Can anyone recommend a bank (other than Britline) they have found particulary helpful.

Hi all I am a first time user (but hopefully not for long) of forums so I hope someone out there can help me. Can anyone suggest an insurance company that does not require shutters, bars, special locks etc and insures homes that will be empty for more than 30 days at a time. Thanks.
