  1. We are going off to Malta later this month and I am trying to find out if I have,  or need, roaming to use my phone there? We went last May and I can't  remember what the situation was then? Will I have to get roaming or is it part of the package? We are using the Free 2€ package.

All you need to do is to copy the ooosit, underline the word, then click on the doobry at the top of the thingy, and paste the ooosit into the boxy thing on the new window and select OK. [geek] If I can do it then it must be simple, init [8-|]

" And what does 'fut' mean ??" Well, the fut is the bit at the end of yer leg. The bit wiv the toze on it, but in this case and being close to midnight and the u being next to the i it's pure luck that there weren't more mastikes [:-))] As to my knowledge of that subject, you could write all I want to know about buying a USA president-ship on the back of a postage stamp in 4" letters. My interest in it is about the same although I do realise just how much it can effect the rest of the universe outside the world of the US of A [Www]
  10. Just goes to prove that smoking is really bad for you [:-))] Our neighbour in the U.K. used to smoke roll-up stuff that you could tar the roads with, had 3 heaped spoons of sugar in his small tea cup, prepared his chicken breasts on the kitchen table and then get his jam sandwich on the same surface, never opened a window and I used to tell him that it was making him look like he was in his 90s instead of 60 odd! Thinking about it though, he was 92 at the time [blink]

    Sweating..

Washing [8-)] That's wot dirty people do init [:-))] I follow the Elizabethan idea that too much washing weakens you and opens the way to disease [geek] By the way, do you know where an Aussie hides his cash?? Under the soap [6][6][Www]

    Sweating..

This is a very interesting article and probably explains just why some people are not pleasant to stand near? Especially in a supermarket queue.   Probably toooo much anti antiperspirant? I haven't ever used the stuff if I remember correctly and that is probably why I smell so nice [8-|][8-|] I do sweat quite freely, naturally [kiss]

He will have to do the singing for himself from now on though.. There are a boat load of singers and pop groups who have told him to stop using their records for his rants, sorry, gatherings. That includes the Stones and out Mikky-baby Jagger!! Politics are frightening aren't they [:-))] P.S. I really do think that someone with all of the pennies he has that he would be able to afford a wig that fut?
  15. The small jobbies are ideal for sharpening router bits! Mine are always ovely and sharp. I was told a good while back that you can gain the price of the DMTs very quickly because it saves the cost of pro sharpening and with the pro method they remove quite a lot of metal so the bits last a lot longer.. You won't regret it, but unless they have changed back your jobbie will come in a plastique case.. Good 'ere init!! [8-|]
  16. I have 2 red and a blue in these . One of the reds I have had for almost 20 years. It's in a leather case and it goes everywhere with me. The other and the blue live in my workshop along with a red bench whetstone. As you say, they are a bit pricey, but for me they are worth it. My original small red stone feels completely smooth, but after using it it needs a quick soap down to get the black metal dust off it. It brings my scalpel blades back to pretty well original. Once I got my bench stone I had flat plane blades for the 1st time of my life [:-))] I also got a set of the Axy diamond stones, but although they are good they aren't as good as the DMT.
  17. I keep my router TCT tools sharp with a DMT diamond pocket whet stone. It doesn't take but a few minutes and as opposed to a pro sharpening there's only a few thou removed by the stone. I use the stone to sharpen my scalpel blades and utility knives too. A great little tool.
  18. About the only 'French retail outlets' I've found around the Carcassonne area are the sheds. OK for not really very much I'm afraid. I may well be wrong, but the French don't seem to go in for wood turning in the same way as the U.K.? I have not heard of any clubs anywhere around us here?
  19. I have just bought several Forstner bits from Axy. I got them to make the cryptex box I posted on here last month on 'Bin busy' Then I got another, so now me bits go from about 1/4" up to 2". The latest few are Axminster's own and they are good, not for 8 hours/dat 7 daze/week, but very good for the likes of me. I also found that the 2" is great for drilling a recess in small-ish bowl blanks. I can then mount them on my Axy K10 (I think??) scroll chuck in the middle size Jacobs jaws and turn the base. Normally I have been starting off mounting the blank on a wooden face block with hot glue, but this is muck easier, more sure and quicker.. I can't get on to the Axy web site at the moment or I would post the page link for the bits?? If you search for them they are very obvious.. What lathe do you have?? Mine is a blue (20 year old) Record CL1 with a 1 hp 3 ø 235v variable speed motor. The motor change transformed it from a good basic lathe to a really good one.
  20. Cut 'is flowers off [:-))] That would have been cruel!! [URL=http://s47.photobucket.com/user/Jonzjob/media/Robinhand1_zpse62bc7db.jpg.html][IMG]http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f180/Jonzjob/Robinhand1_zpse62bc7db.jpg[/IMG][/URL] Seriously. We have a red robin just outside our lounge window. We have never cut the flowers off, only pruned it when the leaves have turned from red and the flowers gone over. The butterflies like it and so do we. It's a fair bit bigger than the photo now!! [URL=http://s47.photobucket.com/user/Jonzjob/media/29/Red%20robin%201_zpspdiblwkg.jpg.html][IMG]http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f180/Jonzjob/29/Red%20robin%201_zpspdiblwkg.jpg[/IMG][/URL] edit : - Just as a matter of interest. The old saying that a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush is rubbish! A bird in the hand does it on yer wrist, believe me[geek][geek]

  22. Quoting the old saying "one man's ground elder is another man's vegatibul" Have a look at this and weep at what you've missed slippy skined thingy [8-|][8-|]
  23. Grow lots of it Wooly, you could make a mint doing so [:-))] Bucquets? We had a stand for one of those green, round 300 ltr rain water tubs. The tub burst when it froze solid a few years back. Now the base has several holes drilled in it and turned upside down and mint planted in it. I don't think it can escape from that? As far as your spreading mint around the world? Eat it [blink] That was our way of getting around a load of ground elder that was taking over. We ate it [8-|] A bit like spinach..
  24. I still get a lot of the bits I want from Axminster and the last time I did was last week. I haven't really found anything in the 11 years we have been here. On the odd occasion I have been looking and found what I want/need I have checked it out either on Axy or Amazon and most of the time it's much more expensive here! What is it that you are looking for at the moment??
  25. There are several peniches that give hotel type holidays on the Canal Betty, BUT they ain't cheap at around 5000€/week all found !!! Even the hire boats are expensive, just check? A friend had a hire boat for a day several years back for a family party on the canal and that was 200€ and had to be back late afternoon.. It wasn't a very big boat. As for the peniche holiday? About as welcome as a beach holiday for us??
