    Dry dog food.

We have a German Shepherd that suffers from an enzyme deficiency and requires regular medication. The only food he tolerates is James Wellbeloved. A recent posting informed us that it can be purchased from a supermarket. Can anyone tell us if it is widely available or should we bring copious supplies with us?   Thanks. Dolly 87.
  2. We are looking to replace an old gas cooker we inherited. It is the type with the little cupboard on the side to hold the gas bottle. Any help on where we can purchase one in the Limousin  or surrounding area. Thanks. Dolly 87.
  3.                     Can anyone tell me if I can purchase a similar paint to Wall Base Coat by Polycell in                 France? We are in dept. 87.                   Thanks, Dolly.
  4. We have a wood burning stove which is brown, shiney and very ugly. As we don't want to go to the expense of purchasing a new one we would like to renovate it. Can anyone give me any idea which paint to use and a name if possible please. Thanks.   Dolly 87.
  5. Some time ago in the forum archives I read that to live in france a guaranteed income is needed. I can no longer remember what this amount was. Can anyone tell me if this still applies and what the amount is for a couple. Also are savings taken into account? Thanks, Dolly.
  6. Trees and bushes in our area appear to be effected by a  white fungus that has the appearance of coral. We have a house near Magnac Lavall and I have noticed that some of the trees in the vicinity also appear to be afflicted. Does anyone know what this is and also are there any trees/shrubs that are resistant?   Dolly.
  7. Many thanks to all who took the time to reply. I have now found the service I need.   Dolly.

I will venture into Bellac this week and see what happens!   Regards, Dolly.
  9. Can anyone give me the details of a translation and general assistance service near the Bellac, Magnac Lavall area? On my last posting way back in June, a kind lady with information of a couple in the area left me her telephone number in my box, however this number is no longer viable. As we shall be in France from Sunday and as usual I have left everything to the last minute any information would be great!
  10. Is there anyone close to Magnac Laval or St. Leger Magnazeix who would be willing to give us a short amount of their time between June 21st-30th? We have recently purchased in this area and hope to be full-time residents around May next year, however with very little knowledge of the French language (at the moment but we are working on it) we are unsure of protocol etc. and do not wish to unwittingly offend. So, if you are this person who could make time for a couple of old codgers it would be greatly appreciated. Dolly (87).
