Can you advice me please,my dog was treated with Advantage before we came three weeks ago, and I brought some with me so I plan to use it again tonight, however in the last few days I have picked at least 10 ticks off him, I check him all the time so I don't think any have burrowed in, but one or two have been quite large so they must have made a meal of him. He is well and bright so when do they die, I have had no experience of anything like this before. He is a Bearded Collie but I have decided to keep his hair short here. The thing is when do I have to worry,or see a vet, and do I just pull the ticks off. Comments and experiences greatly appreciated.

Hi, our front garden is littered with hundreds of holes, some of then are not so small either, as the holes go down and not up as with moles anyone got a clue what they are. I think maybe mice or voles, if so what to do, have seen no trace of any thing or droppings etc. Even my dog shows no interest, I wonder if whatever made them has moved on, if so we will just fill up the holes, but being rather soft hearted and as I say they do not cause any mischief I don't want to suffocate the little blighters. What do you think.

Hello Folks, well we have arrived at Le Plessis, settling in but quite a few small problems, no gas or electricity on day one, now sorted, filled up the oil tank only to find out it was corroded underneath, it looked perfect, so have had to buy a new tank and with help of kind neighbours pump it out from one tank to the other, still its all part of lifes rich pattern and we do love it here, and the bretons we have met have been fantastic, now I need to sort out my internet access. I am with AOL and pay 15.99 per month for unlimited access, however to log on from France I will have to pay an excess of 2.50 per hour on top of that. If I change my provider I will loose my AOL personal filing cabinet. Have you had that problem anyone and if so how did you ovecome it. Thank you.

I wonder if anyone can help, we are arriving in Roscoff on the 27th June, our insurance company only covers us whilst we are in England, on arrival in France we will not be covered. We cannot use a green card as we will no longer have an english address from the 25th June. I contacted an insurance agent in Morlaix and he asked for a carte grise, which of course we do not have as our english car cannot be registered until we get to France. I am sure others must have had this problem, how did you get over it. I have just faxed my Bank Manager, a lovely lady, who speaks english but don't know yet if she can help us arrange the car insurance. By the way it is an aged Volvo, we are planning on buying a french left hand drive with the next few months but need the cover in the meantime. HELP and thanks.
