It's really nice when that happens, isnt it? Gives you faith in human nature. It's happened to us several times[:$](we now have a GPS!) also to people that have been staying with us. We even had one lot of visitors who got off the TER 2 stops too early, so 2 villages away. Some lovely guy stopped & asked them if they wanted a lift, there were 5 of them. He delivered them back to us & we lived way off the main drag, then shouted out with a laugh & in English, 'I think these are yours!' [:D] 

It seems like smokers are a dying breed![;-)]

Apart from all the work & build up, it sounds like it should be a good celebration. Come on, you have to celebrate 28yrs! Congratulations! Hubby will be cussing long after it's all over, as he can't find his stuff, but at least you can say well it was your idea darling![;-)] After your lack of sleep lastnight, you should sleep through everything. Thanks for letting us know Westland & it's great to hear Asti (yum!) has got a good home & is settling down. For what it's worth, I agree with Pads. Although I get fed up with the local wildlife being under attack all the time & I could put a stop to it, by keeping my moggie Elsa in, she is a free spirit & she's out doing what cats do. I would be distraught if anything happened to her, but she has her freedom & to me, that's how it should be. Actually, years ago, I had a persian. She was an indoor cat & would have it no other way, I couldn't get her to go out. Maybe it's in the breeding & like that for pedigrees.

Westland, did the mother & kitten turn up & did you take on the little one?

Good for you Renaud! Although, I wouldn't have thought thinking of a story involving a crooked English estate agent, although fictitious, would be conducive to sleep.[;-)] It seems everyone is sleeping soundly tonight, just for a change[:D]

What's missing in my life? That's a hard one! Um............The confidence to get out & do things. Also, the same as you Pads, the chance & the good company to have a damn good laugh at anything & nothing. My best mate that I used to do all the same things you mentioned, got married & had kids, I didn't. I had an accident instead. It changed things a lot & I do really miss it. Well, that's life!
